Mali is a documentary on ancient rustic civilization that was once a light of the world. It’s spirit  lives on in the cultural legacy of the music and the architecture of the mosques at Djenne and Timbucktu. But, most of all, it lives on through the people. They are the history and the testiment of what has passed. This documentary features beautiful footage of the Malian landscape and its people as well as exclusive performances of Kasse Mady Diabate and the African Classical Music Ensemble by the River Niger.
